Craigslist, sleeping around

I thoroughly enjoyed this long article by a couple of middle-aged women who tried the casual dating scene on Craigslist.

Guy and I met on Craigslist--surely the most unlikely of places to meet for two gay men looking for a long-term relationship. Surfing the craigslist men seeking men ads is like having a vintage 1970s gay bar open up on your laptop, but without the music or cocaine. My only purpose in going there now usually has something to do with bringing a quick end to the night's insomnia if you know what I mean and I think you do.

Lo these 6 years, here we are, Guy and I, homeowners with two cats, a flat-screen TV, and little garden that I like to blog about on the Internets.

I don't think I've ever been to Craigslist. Every time I hear the name, I think of that guy on Logo who does Maya Angelou reading from Craigslist - that is such a scream. Congrats on 6 years!

What hood are you in in SF proper? I think I saw somewhere Bernal Heights, but was not sure. Your garden actually looks huge.....how do you fit all that into 1 tiny space?

I am just getting my garden groove on but we need to terrace our backyard which we will do in a couple of years as we have no money and am waiting for the value of our house to rise.

I met my girlfriend on Craigslist too, a little over 11 months ago. We both find it hilarious to think that we met there, of all places. Then we promptly made it worse by going on our first date at the state fair - surely one of the most uncool first date locations we could possibly have chosen.

Congratulations on 6 years! The article was very entertaining, and if I hadn't "thoroughly enjoyed" my youth, I'd relate to those gals a lot. I say love is where you find it...I met a worthwhile guy from a singles ad in the paper when I was in my 30's. Didn't last forever, but it was a relationship I'm glad to have been in.

Very belated Happy Anniversary. I second that you find love where you find it. I took my partner home for a one night stand, after I tried to introduce him to a friend. That was 14 years ago, we now have a home, 2 cats and a child. LOL You just never ever know. Now if I could just get my garden to look good. LOL

Congratulations again
