And now for some verse

I'm entering this poem for the Garden Rant seed giveaway. What do you think?
Amy Stewart writes garden rants
She sells books and wears nice pants.
Her garden up in Humboldt County
Sadly has no winter bounty. :(

Susan Harris was not fond
Of her thirsty, ugly lawn.
She tore it out and planted thyme
(Is she happy with this rhyme?)

Michele Owens grows what she eats
On a farm upstate, where it snows and sleets
She doesn’t like big agriculture
She’s a proud, organic mulcher.

That leaves us with Elizabeth Licata
When she drinks, it ain't water...
She loves bulbs beyond all measure
Buffalo gardens are a national treasure.

Poor chuck b. is unemployed
All his paychecks: null and void
With a gift of seed stimulus
He’ll plant dill, parsley, and mimulus.
Someone had to rhyme stimulus and mimulus, riiight?

Chuck,

You should win the seed contest - absolutely!

Sorry to hear your paychecks are null and void...but perhaps that is giving you more precious time in the garden.

I loved it so much I'll send you some of my seeds! I donn't have mimulus or even know what they are but I do have dill. Parsley I can't remember.

If you want to take me up on my offer email me your info.

I confess that I've reread your poem maybe 4 times over the last two days and it's still freaking hilarious. I hope you win some seeds!

A pretty poem for some seeds
Indeed, I would be remiss
To go unversed
And make my leave.

For garden seeds have traveled
From a small back forty bounty
To the large front forty country
In warm soil and wood chip compost
Will arise the summers marvels.
