I always reply by saying that I think of a little child in east Africa with a worm burrowing through his eyeball. The worm cannot live in any other way, except by burrowing through eyeballs. I find that hard to reconcile with the notion of a divine and benevolent creator."

I like that Obama mentioned "non believers" in his inaugural speech!
I appreciated that too, although I am not sure if I'm a non-believer or not!
I believe that there's a Monty Python version of "All things Bright and Beautiful"...
And as for your comment above, I tend to calculate my percentages on any given day, as for instance: 85% atheist, 10% agnostic, 5% Buddhist (but since I'm not doing any of the ehavy lifting for that, does it count at all?).
