I did a few things in the East Bay yesterday, including making an introduction to mmw at Two Gardens, and this stop at Indian Rock Park.
Basically a giant rock outcrop in the middle of north Berkeley.
There were a lot of people so we didn't stay long.
The views were typically impressive for the East Bay hills.
The same giant rocks turn up throughout in the neighborhood.
I guess some people have a hard time figuring out what to do with them.

Cool rocks. Do they ever have a graffiti problem with them? What would you do with the one in the last shot?
I don't know what I would do with a rock like that. I'd hire a professional! :) Regardless of whatever choices or considerations these homeowners made, the first one "works" better, don't you think?
I bet graffiti has been a problem in the past. It's a very nice neighborhood now... At any rate, I didn't see any graffiti.
The first one looks very *right*. What kind of tree is that?
An oak of some kind, I believe.
