Ugh. I worked all day yesterday. Saturday! Today I went for a walk (and worked some more when I got home). It was summer-like, and got hotter as the day wore on.
One of many bougainvillea/pelargonium mash-ups in my neighborhood I could point you to:
We put a bid on this house before we got the house we own. It has very little yard, and I'm glad we didn't get it. I would never have become a gardener, and I wouldn't know any of you.

I don't know about that... it seems like you SHOULD have still become a gardener, somehow, even if you had gotten that house. Maybe you would have started as a balcony gardener, or found your way to a volunteer spot at a local botanical garden, or something?
Glad you dodged the no-garden house too. SF is looking fine!
You know, I have a similar story: I was always interested in gardening and many of my family members had gardens (ornamental & vegetable), but it wasn't until we bought our own house with a nice little yard that I truly became a gardener! I am glad we both got our little patch of earth to garden! : ) Keep up the good work (both in the garden and on the blog!)
I've missed your walks.
Love your walks,Chuck. What's up with the zombie character on the street sign? And I'm glad you didn't get that other house.
Looks like a wonderful neighborhood. Glad you got the house with the gardening space. Love the zombie sign!
As usual, great photos of a place I really, really love. Thanks so much for sharing.
I'm glad things worked out the way they did! Your blog has been my favorite read since I started blogging.
Just found your blog. Loved your walk and photos. Thanks for posting.
