And this is my second favorite picture, bronze fennel and 'Honey Bouquet':
The burgeoning Angelica stricta 'Purpurea' could have been a contender, but the focus and contrast are both off. So, no.
With a few more flowers, and a few fewer buds, the dahlias could have been a contender. But, no.
Had I captured Clarkia unguiculata last month, at the peak of its bloom, it could have been a favorite. But I didn't. Alas, no.
A bit more dappled light on the huechera would have made this better. Nope.
Had there been actual snap peas or tomatoes in this picture, along with their flowers, that would have wonderful. But I can't say that I've picked many vegetables this summer.
Tibouchina and blue sky would have been nice. Not so much with the busy house.
I just got this Coreopsis yesterday. I wonder how long it will last before I kill it.
I've taken 100 pictures of Passiflora 'Ebay'. I'm rather fond of the small passionflowers. I like the big ones too, but there's something really exquisite about this bloom the size of a quarter. I'm letting it spread on the ground. So far it's been very well behaved.
Same thing with Passiflora citrina whose flowers never seem to open all the way.
Gilia capitata...in August? I have no complaints.
Also blooming but not shown: Fuchsia boliviana 'Alba', Fuchsia 'Miep', misc. Abutilon, Salvia uliginosa, Madia elegans, Lathyrus cupani, leeks, Calandrinia grandiflora, Verbena bonariensis, Asclepias curassavica, a couple sunflowers, lobelia, Cobaea scandens.

Passiflora 'Ebay'...there must be a story there, I'd love to hear it. It's a beauty!
Judging from your photos, your garden must be getting adequate moisture, natural or otherwise. I admire your 'Ebay' as well, it is almost lily-like.

I like these small passionflowers too. Citrina looks intriguing. Fine-looking cordyline with the heuchera too. But I do love that first shot of the two vines. Beautiful. Happy bloom day.
Wow, nice sunny photos; it looks like there is some sunshine in your garden. My garden is almost sunny today, and has been foggy for the last fifty or a hundred months it seems.
Gorgeous! I think you're underrating the Clarkia unguiculata shot. I'm sure a shot of it at its peak would have been spectacular in a whole different way, but there's a lot to be said for subtlety, and you would have lost the beauty of what this shot captured if you'd taken that other shot instead and skipped this one.
Outstanding Bloom Day!!! I like the little passionflower blooms too, my clematis 'My Angel' has teeny, droopy bell-shaped flowers that are somehow way cuter than the big blooms.
