Blog post of recent, stray images

You come here wanting to see something. What can I show you?

I have some more pictures from last weekend. No subset of pictures suffice to make a whole blog post, so I'm grouping them all together and organizing them in chapters.

(But don't be fooled. If you're visiting us after being away for awhile, our most exciting recent blog post is the Cazadero Garden from a few days ago.)

Chapter 1: Scenes seen from the back seat of a moving car

Owning ocean-front property in California is a huge financial risk. I mean, look at that wave. And we don't have any volcanoes making new land like they do in Hawai'i!

Then again, this is your window.

Who can say.

Chapter 2: In which we stop the car and get out, briefly

Bodega Bay

Bodega Bay

Bodega Bay

Bodega Bay

This is the tiny town of Bodega. Ansel Adams photographed the church once.

But the town is more famous for this building--the schoolhouse Alfred Hitchcock used in The Birds.

We saw no unusual birds here. But just in case I had my tough guy face on.

Chapter 3: Redwoods, etc., whooshing by.

Don't worry. We weren't speeding.

Ahhh! Awesome! The Birds is one of my favorite movies and Bodega Bay is one of the last stretches of HWY 1 I have not been to yet. Maybe I'll take a trip up that way this year.

They have done a magnificent job restoring the school house. The window trim makes my knees go weak!

Always fun riding along with you, Chuck. Loved the tough guy face, those birds would not have messed with you for sure.
