This blog post contains no mention of the C-word.

Jumbo tomato cages were just the thing for these raspberry canes I bought last year.

At some point I have to decide about cutting them back, et cetera. You're supposed to cut down all 2nd year canes? Something like that? I have some reading to do.

And Tithonia diversifolia needs to be cut back too. That, I have no confusion about.

But I'm waiting for the flowers to fade.

Fade, like Montanoa grandiflora's flowers have faded, and now will become interesting seed heads.

I have not seen Fuchsia 'Miep Aalhuizen' form seedheads yet.

In general, the garden has an early spring vibe right now, with lots of new leaves

and spreading underground runners sending up shoots--everywhere.

Not to mention shoots already above ground extending yet higher.

2010 could be the year I lose control of the garden. I mean, really lose it.

The passionvines alone could take the whole place down.

If that happens, will there be a revolution?

Will you be too busy for ruthless editing in 2010? Or is the term a mature garden more appropriate than "losing it"?
