Ocean Beach and the giant camera
I met up with my friend Trina today. We took a walk by Ocean Beach
and drank Bloody Marys at the Cliff House.
Then we lingered in the Giant Camera.
There's the lens.
It rotates and projects moving images on a concave slab painted white.
I could stay here for hours
But that wouldn't be practical. A weedy patch of lavander and nasturtium gave some relief from the day's gray skies.

I love Ocean Beach, it's so nice to see pictures of it.
A fun day with a friend, wonderful, and those nashies and lavender are like a painting! It looks so cool, temperature wise that is, people so bundled up in clothing at the beach, the opposite of the beaches on the east side.

SF in the June Gloom! A mix of those huddled in parkas next to scantily clad folks trying to sun-worship. Up here in WA we are having the driest weather in 116 years! Hey, it's supposed to rain a lot up here... OK, gotta go water again now. Groan.
I remember the camera as the "Camera Obscura" in amongst the attractions in the old Museo Mechanique there at the Cliff House. The renovation of the C-House is awesome, but I love the old way it was. Happy weeding! I agree with the other commenter, the composition in the Nasty shot is so very painterly and pretty. Your photos are all great. I enjoy your man-on-the-street shots of life going on around you in public. Really cool.
I call it the Camera Obscura too. But camera obscura is just the name of the camera, and it says Giant Camera on the building, so...
Beautiful pictures. I love the beach everyone looks like the are having a very good time.
