A Bloom Day prelude...
Sipping passion's nectar.
This is an Icheneumon wasp. It may eat "wood wasps, horntail wasps (sawflies), bollworms, armyworms, wood borers, beetle larvae and[/or] moth larvae."
If you click this picture, and then look at the "original" size, you can see this guy has something in his mouth!

Chuck, do tell, what camera are you using? lol
Alice
I'm sorry, but I cannot answer that question anymore.
If you click the picture, you can read what camera I'm using on the Flickr page under "Additional Information" in the lower right.
Nice I love the dragon fly they have such beautiful color! you took some great pictures.
Great pictures. I love the hummingbird, he looks like he's enjoying the sun in the first one.
Gorgeous photos!
Good camera work. That takes a steady hand and major patience of which I have neither. I suppose I could try to get mellow in one spot in the garden with a tripod set up.
The camera comes with "image stabilization" whatever that is. Also, for things like this I take 20 pictures at a time...and only show you the good ones.
Ooops, I guess you get my question ALLLL the time. Sorry bout that. Just can't help being blown away by your compelling photos :)) Alice
