Friday Night Botanical Garden

I was on a schedule today, so just a few pictures of things that caught my eye.

Absolutely all the Beschorneria were sending up blooms.

This one near the Helen Crocker Russel Library of Horticulture was a traffic stopper.

And I really like Pinus oaxacana's purple cones,

Great pictures! Do you know what that plant is in the 6th picture? The succulent looking one?

The spiral aloe? It's Aloe polyphylla. It seems to be more widely available now, but still pricey. Usually around $15 in a 1-gallon pot.

Yeap, that spiral aloe got my attention, too! Never seen like it before. Nice. I thought I saw a bird in the next photo...

That pine is really cool, and the bird looks like the white-crowned sparrow that I get here. I wonder if they winter there?
