We get this all the time in Menlo Park! There is a bee guy, very funky, who will deal with your swarm, and show off his pet Red-tailed Hawk to boot.

We also have yellow-jacket hive issues in the South Peninsula, but that's another matter.

Chuck, you asked me if I grew the Ceanothus from one-gallon starts, and the answer is yes. Seattle is Ceanothus City. They grow like crazy here.
