The main drag is thick with antique-y stores.


These 3 ft. tall cat figures are almost cool enough to be in someone's garden.

Outside, the jacarandas are blooming everywhere a month ahead of San Francisco's.

My aunt used to live in Ventura and we visited her when I was eight. At the time, the only landmark I was interested in was Disneyland. I'd love to go back now and see more interesting things. I lust after that jacaranda tree.
