Always something unique going on in your Back 40. I wish now I rememberd my high school French. I know you don't like me to say it but "Merci" for your post!
Like Christopher, no habla, poco espanol tambien. You have lots of eastern type flowers, tuplips, daffs, the little blue eyes and what is the one with the spots on the petals? All beautiful.
Jean, Ceanothus has one or two good months, and then you wonder why you planted it.
Frances, I do like to have the tulips and daffodils for spring. And, ahem, did you call Baby Blue Eyes an "eastern type flower"? I will forgive that offense because I like you so much. Baby Blue Eyes is a California native plant.
Pam, I have a full-sun garden this year, so watch out.
"Je suis un Rock Star." That's about the extent of my French. Beautiful blue blooms that aren't hardy by me. I love them with the bright yellow Daffodils & that other yellow thing. Those tulips (Queen of the Night?) are gorgeous too!
I hope you are now starting to feel better. I am just now getting over the same thing with it's obnoxious cough that has sent me to my knees a couple of times.
Tres magnifique! I love the little blue anemones... but the white abutilon is a beauty as well. How are you feeling these days? Do the spring flowers help, at least? :)
You had me at "Quelques Fleurs", Chuck - I wore that perfume to my senior prom...and look where it got me!
Oh the blues, the blues...this post is too beautiful. I apologize that my comment is not in French to complement your Jardin.. I can read it a smidge but cannot compose in it.
Are you still coughing like Greta Garbo in Camille? I sure hope you feel better soon.
Tres bien! (Yea, that's all my French ;-) Beautiful as always! Sorry to hear you've been sick...me too, and I've been offline more as a result. Hope you're better...beautiful flowers sure help!
I'm craving some of that warm California sun! I must try some of those gorgeous anemones again. I hope you had a good sleep!

No habla francenol. The flowers are nice. Anemones are a group I can explore. We have many natives.
Lovely! Those daffodils really pop against the weathered fence.
I posted photos and cheated, as always, by including shots of plain foliage. But my donkey tail Euphorbia is bloomings its little heart out.
Those anemones are gorgeous. I am glad I came here today.

I like the anemones too and your abutilon is just lovely!
The anemones! The Californians' gardens are outshining the Texans' this Bloom Day, perhaps. It looks like April in your garden already.

Anemones, ceoanthus! Anemones are on my list for fall planting. Ceoanthus doesn't thrive here, sadly. Marvelous blooms, all.
Oops, sorry, I meant Ceanothus, didn't I? Anyhow, the blue lilac-like shrub. If I can't grow it, how would you expect I could spell it?

Leslie, Debbi--thank you for coming by.

Flowers look so much better in French! My French vocabulary is limited to restaurant menus. ;-)
Bravo, a beautiful collection of flowers!

Oh, to be able to smell again!
Les fleurs bleues sont jolies. I also like the white ablutilon and plum/chocolate flowers.
Pardon moi! Those are anemones not poppies.
